Flim Flam Family

So I happen to be a fan of the Flim Flam brothers and have thought about what their parents might be like. I personally haven't seen a lot of fan work for their parents but then again I'm still pretty new to the mlp fandom and I'm probably not looking in the right places. I've been cooking up a bit of a story for the brothers but I don't know if it's overly cliche or not. (Knowing me it probably is.) Right now I guess I'm just trying to see what the general reaction is to the characters I made.

Oh and please keep in mind that this is a work in progress and constructive criticism is welcomed. Also, these are my characters are MINE! (With the exception of course being Flim and Flam)

Cherrie Mint

Cherrie was on her way to becoming a triple threat actress. Even at a young age she was able to come up with something new and fresh with her performances. However, her parents were very controlling and were pushing her to become famous. Try as she might, Cherrie was unable to live up to their expectations. ( On a side note I always imagined that she sounded like Countess Danielle Du Voisin from Jem and the Holograms. Chartreuse

Chartreuse came from a poor, but caring family. His parents would work long and hard and Charteuse would often wish that they were rich so they could spend more time together. He would always try to invent something, hoping it would get him the fame and money that he wanted. One day there was an accident where his parents worked which left Chartreuse parentless.  He felt that the only thing he had left were his inventions. He eventually got a job as a practical effect technician for a theatre.

How they met/ got married

While Cherrie was auditioning for a big shot role, Chartreuse was working on some props off stage. Suddenly a stage light got loose and started to fall towards Cherrie and Chartreuse jumped to her rescue. After that their relationship grew, much to her parents disapproval. Her parents tried to set her up with a big time actor however, neither of them were interested. Chartreuse told the actor to arrange a marriage with Cherrie anyway and he'd take care of the rest. With that Chatreuse became the actor's best man for the wedding and when the actor didn't show up, Chartreuse took his place and married Cherrie right on the spot.

Then Tragedy

Once married it didn't take long for the kids to come along. For years they were a happy family. However their years of happiness ended when Cherrie was hit by (insert disease here) and died. This affected the whole family deeply and Chartreuse turned to drinking in order to feel something. Flim and Flam had a very difficult time and would often try and hide their worries and troubles away from others.

And that is were I'm going to leave it for now. I plan to do a drawing of what the current Flim Flam family looks like. The rest of the story will be revealed then. And thank you if you've read the whole thing. I know it's rather long. Sorry about that.
